LIFE UPDATE

Tue Oct 16, 2007, 8:44 PM
  • Mood: Tense
  • Listening to: the GazettE - "Cassis"
  • Reading: "Maximum Ride" it is teh AWESOMENESS!!!!
  • Watching: "Happy Feet" not that good :(
  • Eating: egg salad sandwich
  • Drinking: frappucino
When I mean life update, I mean life update.

I haven't posted since last summer. I haven't even posted any ART. Okay, so my pen tablet thing broke down. It just won't stop drawing. I must get a Bamboo or whatever WACOM has next...saw it on sale in London Drugs...

Okay, so what's new? School is ok, except with tests. I mean, like, school itself is pretty interesting, but tests bleh :( I'm in this cool creative writing course and we virtually have hardly any homework except write cool stuff. Today's journal prompt was "If I was the opposite gender". I was like...if I was a guy, I'd get a cool new spiky, highlighted hairstyle and dress all punk..." Erm, you get the idea.

Speaking of punk, I'm like, immersed in Visual-kei right now, especially the GazettE. I love the GazettE. This band is so awesome I'm falling in love with them just mentioning them. Okay, maybe I'm going a bit overboard but really, they're genius. When you think of goth music, you think of people screaming bloody murder, but GazettE stuff is like...sophisticated, man. The music is so hard to play and there songs go to seven minutes long. Sort of mirroring classical music, eh? Well, my anime interest has gone down, replaced by total GazettE-ness. I recommend "Cassis", "Bath Room", "Miseinen", "Filth in the Beauty", "Burial Applicant", and the solo from "Reila". If you don't know what Visual-kei is, shame on you!! Just kiddin'...it's, like, the Japanese version of punk and goth rock, but it's kinda different. Visual-kei dressers have flamboyant, sometimes feminine looks, but their music is heavy, hard-driving, emotional, and not all that yelly yelly (sometimes yeah) but their ballads are so nice...

Okay, enough with the V-kei-ing. Some of my pals and I have formed a band, yipee! We're still looking for a drummer and right now we're practicing in someone's basement. So far we have a bassist/vocals, and two guitarists. I'm lead for our first song, yay~~~

Yeah, e-guitar is super fun too. Finally feel like a J-rocker!!

Damn, history exam is coming up...I mean MUSIC HISTORY EXAM. Gotta memorize Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, and Twentieth-Century characteristics and songs and composers from 'em. I probably shouldn't be typing this 'cause I gotta study. SO ANNOYING!!

Hmm, what else? I'm still torn between Q.F.I and "Kazjavik", this other book I'm writing. QFI is just one, but "Kazjavik" can have a prequel and a sequel. I wonder which one? Suggestions, please~~

- the sky's not the limit.

Publishing...? EPGY and my summer~

Wed Jul 4, 2007, 11:03 AM
  • Mood: Hungry
  • Listening to: alice nine - "Fantasy"
  • Reading: haven't decide yet for the plane -_-
  • Watching: Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End
  • Eating: egg salad sandwich
  • Drinking: bubble tea

Happy watching!

Recent interests:
My music interest has changed dramatically. I recently started playing electric guitar and learned Mika Nakashima's "Glamorous Sky", theme song from Japanese movie NANA. OMG it's so fun...(might upload vid of me someday).

I've started liking Japanese rock music a lot, now I'm getting into visual kei bands like Alice Nine, heheh...but HnMC is still cool!!

Gonna go to EPGY (Education Program for Gifted Youth) on Sunday in Stanford for 2 weeks!! Hopefully the staff there will help me launch my debut novel, QFI...cuz it's done...just need to edit it for...about a year...??? Hmm...???

anyways have a great summer!! :)

This Easter Season...~~

Fri Apr 6, 2007, 1:42 PM
  • Mood: Neutral
  • Listening to: "OVER" by HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
  • Watching: Randomly flipping through channels
  • Eating: Good Friday ~fasting~
  • Drinking: Fatty drinks high in calories to fill me up
Today's Good Friday. I can only eat 1 meal today, and it has to be vegetarian. Sucks. Well, I'm already being a bad girl for not going to Mass today so yeah~~ This Lent I had to give up YouTube...so EASTER COME QUICKLY ARRRRGGHHH!!!

Electric guitar is SO FUN, man!! I know the D, C, and G chords now!! I'm SO into rock music these days...can't stop listening to HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR's "OVER" and "Ichirin no Hana" (heheh, my dream is to play the solo!!)

Really into "BLEACH" now. Wanted to buy the manga today but it didn't have my volume...-_- and it was $10.99 and I'll probably finish it in a day. *sighs and goes back to "I'd Tell You I Love You but Then I'd Have to Kill You"*

Big decision to make: 2 books, one finished but in need of a prequel, and the other very amazing... WHICH ONE????

YIPEEE!!! Dunt have to go to 5 days of school, yahh!! Good Friday, the weekend, Easter Monday, then a Pro-D!!

Anyways, that's it for now, folks.

C y'all!!

Spring Break and update~~

Wed Mar 21, 2007, 3:29 PM
  • Mood: Neutral
  • Listening to: "Glamorous Sky" by Mika Nakashima/Osaki
  • Reading: "Point Blanc" by Anthony Horowitz
  • Watching: "That's So Raven" (such a laugh) ^_^
Wow. It's been a while since I've been here. And since it's Spring Break and I'm SOOOOOO bored.

So, what's up? Er, I'm still writing Q.F.I. It's still ~in progress~ (bad MSN and internet habits slow u down)

Grrr. It's Lent now. If you're Catholic, you'll know. 40 days before Easter you have to give up something. I was SOOOO stupid!! I gave up YOUTUBE!! Youtube is SOOO useful during Spring Break bore, man! Well, it's great you get Sundays off!! ^^; Anyways, last Sunday I was watching NANA online... I was almost done when it got stuck!! Now, I've got to wait a whole week...-_-

These days I'm really into J-ROCK. There's also music theory...grrrrrr...and I hate that too!! STUPID HARMONIC ANALYSIS!!

Great!! I'm also getting electric guitar lessons!! wooHOO!! I ordered a shiny red Fender guitar kit. It's coming this Saturday, too late to get rid of the Spring Break Bore though...>.<

Anyways, wish me luck...! ^^;
